Commerical > Tilt-Up Construction
As one of the fastest growing construction methods in the country, Tilt-Up construction – a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place – has rapidly gained in acceptance in the Lehigh Valley in recent years. Combining the advantages of low maintenance, durability, speed, minimal capital investment and architectural appeal, the method is used for a variety of end-use structures including distribution centers, industrial and manufacturing facilities, religious institutions, retail centers and educational facilities. Since our first project, Engelman Construction has completed more than 7 million square feet of Tilt-Up construction
Advantages of Tilt-Up:
- A fast track construction schedule unmatched by precast, masonry, or pre-engineered steel buildings, saving project financing costs and leading to quicker occupancy.
- The flexibility to allow architects and engineers the freedom to design a building to the customer’s specifications and easily modify the structure to accommodate future expansion.
- A high quality structure on time and on budget.
- Methods that can be successfully applied to warehouse/industrial space as well as multi-story buildings.
- Solid reinforced concrete load bearing walls providing a long life/durable structure which requires little maintenance for the first 50 years of operation. There is nothing to rust or rot like a wooden or all steel building.
