Commerical > Roller Compacted Concrete
Roller compacted concrete (RCC) is a zero slump concrete mixture with a consistency of damp gravel with local aggregates, Portland cement and water. The process requires no forming, finishing, surface texturing, jointing or sealing.
The mixture is transported by dump truck and placed using a conventional asphalt spreader then compacted with a roller. With its low water-cement ratio, RCC typically has strengths similar or greater than conventional concrete. Because of RCC’s high strength properties that combine ease of construction and high rate of production, RCC is a viable alternative to flexible pavements.
Uses Include:
- Industrial Access Roads
- Industrial Parking Areas
- Loading Docks
- Road Shoulders
- Dolly Pads
- Landfill transfer stations
- Off highway pavement projects
- Heavy Duty parking and storage areas
