About Us

Founded in 1974 by Al Engelman, Engelman Construction, Inc. initially began as a residential, municipal and small commercial contractor. Today, the family-owned company has expanded into large commercial projects with Tilt-Up construction comprising the largest volume of business. They have helped pioneer the Tilt-Up construction process and developed innovative methods of design fabrication and erection. In addition to Tilt-Up, Engelman Construction has found smaller niches in super flat floors and decorative concrete. This diverse experience enables us to be familiar with commercial construction of any size and type.

As a full-service concrete contractor, Engelman Construction is capable of industrial, commercial, municipal and residential concrete needs. We are committed to delivering the highest quality with every project. We pride ourselves in not only delivering a quality product but offering a safe work environment for both our employees and customers. We have been awarded the gold level of achievement by the Associated Builders and Contractors for our safety training and awareness.

Engelman Construction is PennDot pre-qualified and certified contractor. Some of the certifications members of our crew hold are: Tilt-up Technicians and Tilt-up Supervisors from the American Concrete Institute, Pervious Concrete Technicians from the National Ready Mix Concrete Association, Certified Pump Operator by the American Concrete Pumping Association and certified Crane and Power Curber operators.

We utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as laser and vibrating screeds, concrete pumps, Tele-belt placement, various power trowels, slip forming and a curb machine. In addition to these pieces of equipment, we also have a complete line of Increte Systems products for all decorative concrete needs.

Our commitment to excellence has been rewarded through repeat business and continued growth. Engelman Construction has been one of the top 600 Specialty Contractors in ENR’s (Engineering News-Record) annual listing for 10 years.

Engelman Construction is a sister company of Bethlehem Precast – a leading provider of precast solutions for the residential and commercial market. Bethlehem Precast was founded in 1980 and we use their experiences to build upon our knowledge to improve processes for our clients.
